Statement of Faith and Conviction:

The author’s beliefs are expressed below, and in the TOUR OF CHRISTIAN FAITH (see link below). The author believes that all those who have been accepted by God through faith in Christ are the true Church.  It is not any denomination, alternative church, ethos, party interest or spirituality:

FAITH - I believe in the historic evangelical Faith expressed in the Creeds; in God the Creator and Father of all, in Jesus Christ our only Saviour, and in the personal work of the Holy Spirit. I believe in the universal Christian Church, the ‘Body of Christ’. I believe that God will bring history to a close in His own time, and that He will judge all people.

CONVICTION - I am convinced that although Christians express their faith differently, any truly authentic Christian ‘Spirituality’ includes prayer, Bible study and a disciplined approach to Christian lifestyle.

on-line daily devotions

--- to help Christians --- Many good things are happening in the Church throughout the world, yet congregations are declining in the West.  Many projects for growth and renewal attract interest, yet individual Christians too often feel unable to pray, understand the Bible, or live a distinctive Christian life.  This website offers tools for the individual to live a life of Christian discipleship, so that the Church of God might grow.

--- grow in faith and action --- Those who have a regular devotional time with God discover that this is when He speaks to them and calls them to action.  Their lives are changed as they grow in faith and act on His Word.  This can be your experience as you use this site as part of your commitment to live a disciplined Christian life with regular devotional time for God.

--- with proven methods --- For over two thousand years, Christians in different communities and denominations have practised the devotional life in three ways; firstly, in prayer and meditation; secondly,  in reading and the study of scriptures; and thirdly, living a disciplined life, which we call ‘discipleship’; for example, fasting or charitable work.  All this has all been passed down to us as a good example of how to live the Christian life .

--- which work. Our history shows us and scripture instructs us, that all these three are needed for spiritual growth, not just one or some of them.  Indeed, focussing on one or ignoring another can distort the life of faith.  This site is designed to help ordinary Christians do all three by spending time in devotion each day. The site is designed for those with little time, but offers much more.

All over the world, the Lord’s people are being renewed by reading God’s Word the Bible, by praying and thinking seriously about their faith, and by practising Christian discipleship in a positive way.  Use this site to join them.

LET GOD EMPOWER YOU AND STRENGTHEN YOU

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.’

(Col. 3:23)
